Nordic Pure MERV 8 Plus Carbon air filters are constructed with a dual material composition, where the MERV rated material has been combined with a carbon layer. This unique design helps in the removal of unwanted odors and the capture of most airborne dust and particulate matter, resulting in fresh, clean air. Activated carbon material attracts odorous gases and vapors (VOC) and holds them, while still allowing for excellent air flow properties.

All Nordic Pure pleated air filters are crafted using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame, with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for added reinforcement. The air filters are made with permanently electrostatically charged material, which acts as a magnet to help dust adhere to the filter.

Nordic Pure anti-microbial air condition filter media prevents the growth of bacteria and mold, creating a healthier environment. MERV 8 Plus Carbon air filters are comparable to MPR 800 rated filters, and we recommend changing the air filter every 30-90 days for maximum efficiency and economy.

It is crucial to note that almost ALL furnace filters have a different "actual size" than the nominal size printed on the air conditioner filter. It is recommended to measure your air filter for the exact size and compare it to the "Actual Size" provided to ensure a proper fit. The nominal size for the filters is 20 x 30 x 1, while the actual size is 19 3/4 x 29 3/4 x 3/4 (19.75 x 29.75 x 0.75).
