The Nordic Pure 16x25x3 MERV 15 Air Bear Cub Replacement Plus Carbon air filter is designed to replace the air conditioning filter for systems that require a 3” depth. Unlike other A/C filters, where the nominal and actual sizes differ slightly, the Air Bear Cub Replacement Plus Carbon has a nominal and actual depth of 3 inches exactly. When measuring your furnace air filter, keep this measurement in mind.

The Nordic Pure 3” MERV 15 Trion Air Bear Cub Replacement Plus Carbon filters are made of electrostatically charged synthetic materials with an added flat panel infused with activated charcoal, which attracts and captures most airborne particulates in your home or office. Odorous gases and vapors (VOC) are attracted to and held by the activated carbon material while maintaining excellent air flow properties. The pleated HVAC filters are manufactured using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame. The frame has 2 strips of foam tape on 2 sides, with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for extra support. These MERV 15 Air Bear Cub Replacement Plus Carbon furnace air conditioner filters are comparable to HVAC filters with a rating of MPR 2800. It is important to note that HVAC systems should be rated to handle filters of MERV 14 and above due to the high filtration and air flow restriction. Nordic Pure MERV 14 and 15 air filters work well in newer, high efficiency systems that use HEPA filters.

The nominal size of the filter is 16 x 25 x 3, with an actual size of 15 13/16 x 24 5/16 x 3 (15.81 x 24.31 x 3). It is important to measure your air filter for the exact size and compare it to our actual size to ensure a proper fit.

This filter replaces Trion Air Bear Cub filters and others that require an actual 3" depth, and is ideal for superior filtration and odor control in commercial units. The Nordic Pure MERV 15+ is equivalent to MPR 2800 and is proudly made in the USA.
