These Pleated Plus Carbon air filters are made of a dual material, with the MERV rated material fused together with a carbon layer. The activated carbon material attracts and holds odorous gases and vapors (VOC), while maintaining excellent air flow properties. All Nordic Pure pleated air filters are manufactured using a heavy-duty, moisture-resistant beverage board frame, with a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for extra support. MERV 12 furnace air conditioner filters are comparable to HVAC filters with an MPR rating of 1500-1900. We recommend changing your air filter every 3-6 months to maintain maximum efficiency and economy. The nominal size is 20 x 20 x 5 H, while the actual size is 19 5/8 x 19 7/8 x 4 3/8 (19.63 x 19.88 x 4.38). Be sure to measure your air filter for the exact size and compare it to our actual size for a proper fit. This filter replaces Honeywell 20x20x4 and filters with an MPR rating, with an actual depth of 4 3/8, making it ideal for high air filtration and odor control.
